Bio

Gordon Lustig Growing up in a family of seven, there was always a wide range of music playing in my house from Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull to Chopin and Rachmaninoff, Harry Nilsson and Kenny Rankin to Michael Jackson and Otis Redding, not to forget the great Big Bands and wonderful show tunes. And that was just what my dad was listening to!

I’ve been composing and arranging music long before I could hold a pencil. It thrills me to create arrangements one note, one chord, one bar at a time and hear it all come together when played in real time. Creating music and arrangements for living, breathing, instrumentalists never fails to trigger the release of endorphins in my body and I’ve had the good fortune of being a composer and arranger of music for symphony orchestras, school bands, string quartets, jazz bands, and brass ensembles. I certainly don’t shy away from virtual instruments such as samplers and synthesizers. Sometimes, it is just what the music needs.

I have been a composer and producer of music for network television sitcoms, commercials, radio programs, educational films and more. I’ve worked as: musical director for live theater, guitarist for recordings and live peformances, and producer, arranger and guitarist on many independent music projects. I’ve also done professional music transcribing and have created an array of songbooks for many artists. I love what I do and I will help you love what YOU do.

I look forward to working with you on your next project!
